Temporomandibular Joint Disfunction
Temporomandibular joint pain (TMJ) or limitations of mouth opening may have multiple causes. The occlusion (tooth position when biting) can be one of them.
With a clinical examination we will be able to estimate if your occlusion might be a causal factor of your joint pain. If this is the case, we will offer you the appropriate treatment.
During the first consultation we will identify if your symptoms are related to a local joint problem or to a malocclusion. At a second stage, relevant records will be taken to allow for a formal diagnosis. Depending on the diagnosis, we will either offer you treatment or further refer you to a Joint specialist.
